Getting Started “Your First Visit”
When you arrive at our office, you will be greeted by our professional staff and will be given some information to fill out such as personal, major complaints, past health history, family history, medications, insurance, etc.
The doctor will then go over the information that he has received. This is a great time for you to discuss any pertinent information that would be important for the doctor to know.
Based on our consultation today the doctor will recommend a physical examination, or a nutritional evaluation, or both to determine what is causing your health concerns. For example, if you have low back and leg pain and have degenerative discs this is a physical problem and requires a physical examination. On the other hand, if you all of a sudden start gaining weight, develop, high blood pressure, heart disease, or mood swings, and are fatigued, I would recommend a nutritional evaluation. Now if you had both problems it would behoove you to have both examinations.
If Dr. Cima decides to accept your case, you will then be scheduled for 4-6 visits. Besides treatment of your health condition Dr. Cima will discuss:
- The cause of your health issue
- Why it will not go away on its own and become worse over time.
- How long it’ll take to get well
- What will be required of you, after all, it is your responsibility to take care of your health
- What the costs will be

Insurance may cover some of the costs of your visit. You can pay per visit, or pay ahead of time for several appointments and receive a discount, or be put on a schedule of payments that fits into your budget, or you can apply for CareCredit® where you have up to a year interest-free to pay for services. Our team will help you determine what is the best arrangement that will work for you.
